A pale figured wood slab among workshop materials

About Tyler

Making things
work better.

Sometimes that means wood. Sometimes it means a song, a website, or a repair.

Different materials. The same kind of thinking.

Driftwoodcraftthing is run by Tyler Gulleman from Syracuse, New York. The work spans carpentry, music production, coding, and practical repair.

Every project starts with the same questions: What is already here? What needs to change? What is worth keeping? What will make the result feel finished and useful?

Customers work directly with Tyler. Physical projects are taken on around Syracuse; suitable music, website, and software projects can be handled remotely.

How the work is approached

01

Make it useful

Good-looking work still has to do its job in everyday life.

02

Work with what is there

Materials, recordings, code, homes, budgets, and schedules all come with a history.

03

Be straight with people

If a project needs a licensed specialist or a different kind of help, that is said plainly.

04

Keep the character

The goal is to improve the work without sanding away everything that made it interesting.

A small business on purpose

You talk to the person doing the work.

Driftwoodcraftthing is not a big agency or a licensed specialist in every trade. Keeping the business small means clearer communication, visible decisions, and an honest answer about what fits.
